About LASU CGPA
Lagos State University (LASU) operates a 5.0 CGPA scale across its Ojo, Ikeja, Surulere and Epe campuses. LASU is one of the largest state universities in Nigeria with strong programmes in business, law and engineering.
LASU Grading System
LASU grade points: A (70+) = 5, B (60–69) = 4, C (50–59) = 3, D (45–49) = 2, E (40–44) = 1, F (below 40) = 0. CA is weighted 30 percent and examinations 70 percent across most faculties.

Carry-Over Rules at LASU
LASU students are required to repeat any failed compulsory course. Outstanding carry-overs cap the maximum classification a student can achieve at graduation regardless of subsequent CGPA performance.

- First Class / Distinction: 4.50 and above
- Second Class Upper / Upper Credit: 3.50 – 4.49
- Second Class Lower / Lower Credit: 2.40 – 3.49
- Third Class / Pass: 1.50 – 2.39
- Pass: 1.00 – 1.49
