Who We Are

Tekora Global Ltd operates CampusTutor, an AI-powered learning platform for Nigerian tertiary institution students — undergraduate and postgraduate university students, polytechnic students (ND/HND), and Colleges of Education students (NCE).

Data We Collect

What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve CampusTutor:

  • •Account data — Name, email address, institution, academic level/semester (ND1/ND2/HND1/HND2, NCE1–3, 100L–500L for undergraduates, or postgraduate programme for MSc/MBA/PhD/PGD students), and password (hashed — never stored in plain text).
  • •Usage data — Courses added, study sessions, exam attempts, AI chat messages (used for service delivery and AI improvement), GPA calculations, and document uploads.
  • •Device & technical data — Browser type, operating system, IP address, and session tokens (used for security and debugging).
  • •Payment data — Transaction references via Paystack. We do NOT store card numbers — all payment processing is handled by Paystack.
  • •Voluntary data — Any information you provide in support tickets, feedback forms, or referral campaigns.
Data Use

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • •Deliver and continuously improve the CampusTutor platform.
  • •Personalise AI Tutor responses to your academic level and institution.
  • •Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • •Send account notifications — password resets, billing receipts, and product updates.
  • •Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • •Analyse aggregate usage to improve features (never at an individually-identifiable level for marketing).

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.

Storage & Security

Data Storage & Security

  • •Data is stored on secure servers (PostgreSQL) hosted within or proximate to Nigeria/West Africa.
  • •Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt). Plain-text passwords are never stored.
  • •All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
  • •Session tokens are rotated regularly and stored securely in HTTP-only cookies.
  • •We perform regular security reviews, access audits, and automated backups.

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at info@campustutor.ng.

Third Parties

Sharing Your Data

We share data only with the following trusted parties, and only as necessary:

  • •Paystack — Payment processing. Card details never touch our servers.
  • •Anthropic & OpenAI — AI responses are processed via the Claude API (primary) and OpenAI GPT API (fallback). Message content may be sent to these providers per their respective usage policies.
  • •Cloud infrastructure providers — Hosting, storage, and CDN services required to run the platform.

We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or any unrelated third parties.

We may disclose data if required by Nigerian law or in response to a valid court order. We will notify you where legally permitted to do so.

Cookies

Cookies & Tracking

CampusTutor uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • •Essential cookies — Session management and authentication tokens. Required for the app to function — the site cannot work without these.
  • •Preference cookies — Theme (light/dark), UI settings, and onboarding state. Stored locally in your browser.
  • •Analytics (aggregate only) — Anonymous page-visit data to understand which features are most used. No personal identifiers are included.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

You can clear cookies via your browser settings at any time. Note that clearing session cookies will log you out of CampusTutor.

Your Rights

Your Rights

As a CampusTutor user, you have the following rights over your data:

  • •Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • •Correction — Update inaccurate profile data directly in your account Settings at any time.
  • •Deletion — Request full account deletion. We will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • •Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON/CSV).
  • •Withdraw consent — Opt out of non-essential communications (marketing emails, product updates) at any time via account settings or email.
