Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using CampusTutor in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Tekora Global Ltd, the company that operates CampusTutor.

By continuing to use CampusTutor after changes are published, you accept the updated Terms.

Eligibility

Who Can Use CampusTutor

CampusTutor is designed for Nigerian tertiary institution students, including:

  • Undergraduate studentsat Nigerian universities (100L–500L).
  • Postgraduate studentspursuing MSc, MBA, PhD, or PGD programmes.
  • Polytechnic studentsat ND and HND levels (ND1/ND2/HND1/HND2).
  • College of Education studentsat NCE levels (NCE1–NCE3).
  • Lecturers and educatorsusing the platform for instructional purposes.

You must be at least 13 years old to use CampusTutor. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

Account

Your Account

  • One account per personEach user may maintain one account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent limits or bans is prohibited.
  • Keep credentials secureYou are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your password with anyone.
  • Notify us of breachesIf you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at info@campustutor.ng.
  • Accurate informationProvide truthful registration details. False information (e.g. fake institution or level) may affect AI Tutor accuracy and can result in account suspension.
Rules

Acceptable Use

You agree to use CampusTutor only for lawful, personal academic purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Using AI-generated content to commit academic fraud, plagiarism, or submitting AI answers as your own original work without disclosure.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract training data or model outputs at scale.
  • Uploading malicious files, copyrighted materials you do not have rights to share, or content that violates Nigerian law.
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or CampusTutor staff.
  • Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to access the platform in ways that exceed normal usage.
  • Sharing, reselling, or sublicensing your account or subscription to others.
  • Attempting to bypass subscription limits, quota systems, or payment requirements.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

AI

AI-Generated Content

CampusTutor uses AI to generate tutoring responses, exam practice questions, essay feedback, GPA forecasts, and other academic content. We use Anthropic's Claude as the primary AI provider and OpenAI's GPT as a secondary fallback provider.

  • Not a substitute for professional adviceAI-generated content is for learning support only. It is not a substitute for advice from your lecturer, academic advisor, or any professional.
  • Accuracy is not guaranteedAI responses may contain errors, outdated information, or misunderstandings. Always verify important facts with authoritative sources.
  • Academic integrityYou are solely responsible for ensuring your use of AI-generated content complies with your institution's academic integrity policy.
  • Messages are processed by third-party AI providersYour chat messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API (primary) or OpenAI's GPT API (fallback) for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Billing

Subscriptions & Billing

  • Subscription plansCampusTutor offers Free, Plus, Pro, and Graduate plans. Features and limits differ per plan — see the Pricing page for details.
  • Payment processingAll payments are processed securely by Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise Paystack to charge your chosen payment method.
  • Recurring billingPaid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or per-semester). Your plan will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • CancellationYou may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • RefundsWe offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not exceeded 20% of your plan's AI message quota. Contact info@campustutor.ng with your transaction reference.
  • Grace periodIf a payment fails, your account enters a 3-day grace period with degraded access. If payment is not resolved within 3 days, your plan downgrades to Free.
  • Price changesWe may change subscription prices with at least 14 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email.
Ownership

Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, software, branding, and AI system prompts are the intellectual property of Tekora Global Ltd or its licensors.

  • Your contentDocuments, notes, and materials you upload remain yours. By uploading, you grant CampusTutor a limited licence to process them for the purpose of delivering the service.
  • AI outputsAI-generated responses are provided for your personal academic use. You may not resell, republish, or commercialise them.
  • Platform code & designYou may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the CampusTutor platform.
Liability

Disclaimers & Liability

CampusTutor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the platform.
  • We are not liable for academic outcomes, examination results, or decisions made based on AI-generated content.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

CampusTutor does not guarantee examination success. Use it as a learning aid, not a replacement for studying.

Termination

Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:

  • YouMay delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This is permanent and irreversible.
  • Tekora LabsMay suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform.
  • Effect of terminationUpon termination, your right to access CampusTutor ends immediately. Paid subscriptions are not refunded on termination for cause.

Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Governing Law survive termination.

Updates

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the platform evolves or legal requirements change.

  • We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect.
  • The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
  • Your continued use of CampusTutor after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may request account deletion.
Legal

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
