Refund Policy

We want you to love CampusTutor. If something isn't right, this page explains exactly when and how you can get your money back.

60-second wallet refund. No questions for issues under ₦10,000.

When an AI response fails or you ask within 24 hours of a small charge, we refund instantly to your in-app wallet — no bank delay. Use it on your next AI chat, exam practice, or top-up. Bigger amounts and card refunds follow the standard 5–10 business day window.

7-Day Window

Full refund within 7 days of first payment if you have used less than 20% of your plan quota.

5–10 Business Days

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

No Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial or pro-rated refunds for unused time in the middle of a billing period.

Our Refund Commitment

At CampusTutor (operated by Tekora Global Ltd), we believe in fair and transparent billing. If you are not satisfied with your subscription within the eligible window, we will refund you — no lengthy arguments, no runaround.

We offer a 7-day refund window on all first-time paid subscriptions, subject to the usage conditions below. This applies to Plus, Pro, and Graduate plans.

Our goal is for every Nigerian student — undergraduate, postgraduate, polytechnic, or College of Education — to feel confident subscribing for the first time.

When You Qualify

Eligibility for a Refund

You are eligible for a full refund if all of the following apply:

  • Within 7 daysYour refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the original payment date.
  • First-time purchaseThis is the first time you are subscribing to this plan. Refunds are not available on renewals or repeat purchases of the same plan.
  • Low usageYou have consumed less than 20% of your plan's AI message quota for that billing period.
  • Valid payment referenceYou provide the Paystack transaction reference from your payment confirmation email.

Exceptions

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available in the following situations:

  • Subscription renewals — automatic renewals of an existing plan are not refundable. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid being charged.
  • Usage above 20% — if you have actively used more than 20% of your plan quota, the subscription is considered delivered.
  • Requests submitted after 7 days of the payment date.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Discounted or promotional plans, unless the promotion explicitly states refunds are available.
  • Plan upgrades mid-cycle — the prorated difference between plans is not refundable.

To avoid unwanted renewals, cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your next billing date from Dashboard → Billing → Cancel Plan.

Add-ons

Add-ons & Credits

  • Project Lab add-onThe Project Lab add-on is non-refundable once purchased, as access is granted immediately upon payment.
  • Credit top-upsPurchased credit bundles are non-refundable. Credits never expire and carry over between billing periods.
  • Referral creditsCredits earned through the referral programme are not redeemable for cash and cannot be refunded.
  • Premium daysPremium days awarded as referral bonuses or promotions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Process

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to info@campustutor.ng with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:

  • Full nameAs registered on your CampusTutor account.
  • Email addressThe email address linked to your account.
  • Payment referenceThe Paystack transaction reference from your payment confirmation email (starts with "TXN_" or similar).
  • Reason for refundA brief explanation — this helps us improve the product.

You do not need to fill in any forms or log a ticket — a simple email is all it takes. We will confirm receipt within 1 business day.

Tip: Your Paystack transaction reference is in the payment confirmation email sent to you at the time of purchase.

Timeline

Processing Time

Once your refund request is approved:

  • ReviewWe review all refund requests within 2 business days of receipt.
  • Approval notificationWe will email you to confirm your refund has been approved (or explain why it was not).
  • Return to payment methodApproved refunds are returned to your original Paystack payment method (card or bank account) within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Processing times are subject to Paystack's settlement timelines and your bank's processing speed, which are outside our control. If you have not received your refund after 10 business days, contact us and we will follow up with Paystack directly.

Cancellations

Plan Downgrades & Cancellations

  • CancellationYou can cancel your subscription at any time from Dashboard → Billing → Cancel Plan. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again.
  • DowngradeDowngrading to a lower plan takes effect at the next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the unused portion of the higher plan.
  • Free planDowngrading to the Free plan is instant and permanent within the billing cycle. Features above the Free tier are disabled immediately.
  • Failed payments & grace periodIf a payment fails, your account enters a 3-day grace period. Resolve the payment within 3 days to keep your plan active. After the grace period, the plan downgrades to Free automatically — no refund is applicable.
