Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), recently restructured into Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), runs ND and HND on a 4.0 CGPA scale. Established students under the LASPOTECH naming still use the polytechnic grading template.
LASPOTECH Grading System
LASPOTECH grade conversion follows NBTE: A (75+) = 4, AB (70–74) = 3.5, B (65–69) = 3.25, BC (60–64) = 3, C (55–59) = 2.75, CD (50–54) = 2.5, D (45–49) = 2, E (40–44) = 1.5, F (below 40) = 0.

Carry-Over Rules at LASPOTECH
Failed compulsory courses must be repeated. The replacement grade overrides the failure for CGPA. SIWES placement (typically ND II, second semester) is required for ND classification.
LASPOTECH Classification Bands
- First Class / Distinction: 3.50 and above
- Second Class Upper / Upper Credit: 3.00 – 3.49
- Second Class Lower / Lower Credit: 2.00 – 2.99
- Third Class / Pass: 1.00 – 1.99
- Pass: 1.00 – 0.99
